I-55 Noise Evaluation

Village of Woodridge

OBJECTIVE

Residents living along I-55 experience noise and disturbances due to their proximity to the highway. Through extensive research and noise monitoring, HLR effectively evaluated noise-abatement options and discussed them with the Village of Woodridge for review.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Our team reviewed previous reports, conducted noise monitoring, and submitted a noise evaluation report. Various options were considered, including earth berms, noise walls, site screen fences, landscaping, and traffic management. HLR attended a public meeting to present and discuss these options, as well as to answer questions from concerned parties.
