Mount Prospect Street Lighting
Village of Mount Prospect
OBJECTIVE
Outdated street lights within the Village of Mount Prospect did not meet modern standards and did not provide uniform lighting. Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) was contracted to provide the design and construction of new street lighting within the Village.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project replaced outdated streetlights on wooden poles with new LED fixtures on aluminum poles with decorative bases to match other streetlights in the Village. The updated fixtures improved lighting and safety in the surrounding area. HLR performed photometric calculations, voltage drop analysis, and designed new controllers and circuit layout. A Lighting Design Report was prepared for submittal to IDOT to obtain a permit for the Central Road location.
