Division Street Water Main Replacement
City of Geneva
OBJECTIVE
Replace an aging water main system prone to frequent breaks and separate Geneva’s system from the neighboring St. Charles system.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
HLR provided engineering services for the replacement of over 2,100 linear feet of water main in the City of Geneva. The project included installation of new water main, valve vaults, and fire hydrants, as well as pavement patching, curb and gutter repairs, and landscape restoration.
A key component of the project was careful coordination of water shutdowns to minimize service disruptions while maintaining access to residential properties. The completed improvements reduce system failures, minimize outages, and establish a fully independent water system for the City of Geneva.
