Various Wind Development Structure Evaluations

Various Clients

OBJECTIVE

Wind turbine installation requires a significant amount of large component deliveries, heavy crane movements, and repeated material delivery traffic. These immense loads can cause significant stress on local infrastructure. Our team regularly partners with local highway agencies to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the infrastructure utilized during wind turbine construction.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

HLR provides full inspection services for all bridges and culverts within the project area. We then conduct a structural evaluation for multiple transport load configurations and construction crane loadings that may be used in the project to erect foundations, tower sections, turbines, and blades. Our reports not only identify the existing structures that can be utilized for construction operations and determine maximum load configurations for each, but also recommend improvements that can be made to marginal or inadequate structures to make them feasible.

We strive to provide accurate and fair analyses for local agency owners and wind development firms.
