U-46 STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ONE WEEK ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP!
Last week, eight students from Bartlett High School joined us for a week long internship. Our team taught them about surveying, GIS, and civil engineering (traffic, water/wastewater, environmental, site development).
The internship is part of the high school’s STEM academy program and was organized by the Alignment Collaborative for Education. The goal is to expand the student’s knowledge about possible career paths. The students spent one of their days on-site at some of the U-46 schools that HLR designed the improvements that are now under construction.
At HLR, we value our communities and teaching students about the values and possibilities of engineering. We had a great week and hope to educate more students next year. Thank you to all of our staff who made it possible, Alignment Collaborative and District U-46 for the opportunity, and the students that participated. It was a great week!
