Woodstock Square Downtown Streetscape

The City of Woodstock was looking to implement an improvement plan addressing vehicular and pedestrian needs with aesthetic considerations worthy of an historic central business district.

HLR provided design and construction engineering services for the multi-year implementation of the downtown streetscape improvements. New lighting, improved curb, gutter, and sidewalk, and aesthetically-pleasing landscape were all added to the area. These improvements helped to accommodate the increased traffic on the square safely, provided a more current, energy-efficient lighting system, enhanced accessibility, and helped maintain the status of the square as the jewel in the heart of Woodstock.
