Oil Well Mapping

Our surveyors used their GIS expertise to map the location and attribute information of old oil wells for Rex Energy Operating Corporation.

A targeted well field was delineated by the client for a possible new horizontal well bore location. Our team then identified the surface hole location of all the old wells, active and plugged, in the delineated area.  We collected the redefined attribute information such as well name, injection, pump, active, and pictures, along with the updated location.  To find the best horizontal drill string, we downloaded all of the information and utilized a GIS and/or CAD program.
