Horizontal Gas Well Surveys

Lamac was contracted by Atlas Energy Indiana, LLC, an energy management company, to stake over 100 horizontal gas wells in the New Albany Shale. This work included the accurate field location of each well, verifying lease coverage, and defining drilling units.

The project also included communitization plats of the 160-acre drilling units and 320-acre production units, right-of-way plats and descriptions for the gathering system, and damage assessments.  The project was unique in that it utilized standard 160-acre drilling units, stacked stand-up 80’s, but was in an area that was laid out in old French location, donations, and surveys that lay about 45 degrees right of North.
