Eldamain Road over the Fox River
Explosive population growth is occurring in Kendall County. As new commercial and residential developments are built in the area, the existing roadway network is fast reaching its capacity. The proposed six-mile extension of Eldamain Road will be a roadway corridor across the Fox that will create a continuous north-south route across the County.
This massive roadway and bridge project required the use of nearly every HLR department including preliminary, design, drainage, structural, and traffic engineering, environmental, survey, and appraisals. Along with the County, our team prepared concept designs and developed the general location of the new corridor and bridge crossing over the Fox River.
Improvements designed include a new roadway corridor, township road realignments, and new Fox River and Rob Roy Creek Bridges. The benefits of this project include alleviated congestion at the Fox River crossing, improved traffic safety, and aesthetic improvements.
