CELEBRATING NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK (May 16-22, 2021)
In honor of National Public Works Week, Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) would like to express our sincere gratitude to public works professionals throughout the state.
Public Works provides the essential services that create healthy and thriving communities. These everyday heroes are responsible for road maintenance, water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment, public buildings and spaces, parks and grounds, emergency management and first response, solid waste, and right-of-way management. These hardworking men and women make community health and safety a priority every day and for this we thank you!
Since 1960, the American Public Works Association (APWA) has sponsored National Public Works Week to energize and educate the public on the importance of Public Works to their daily lives: planning, building, managing, and operating at the heart of their local communities to improve everyday quality of life. This year’s theme, “Stronger Together,” challenges us to think about the role Public Works plays in creating a great place to live. By working together, the impact citizens and Public Works professionals can have on their communities is magnified and results in the ability to accomplish goals once thought unattainable.
