Lamac Engineering, Inc. was acquired by Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) in November 2015. With a 75-year history of providing quality consulting engineering services to both the public and private sectors, Lamac has a tradition of excellence and integrity. Together with HLR, we can provide the full gamut of engineering, surveying, and environmental services to meet our clients’ needs.
Lamac was founded in 1938 by Robert Lathrop and Neal McDonald who recognized the need for civil engineering services in areas around Mt. Carmel, Illinois. A two-person startup that initially specialized in roadway design and municipal services evolved into a 16-person firm that currently works on a variety of infrastructure development, maintenance, and revitalization projects. Over the years, they have earned a reputation for utilizing state-of-the art technologies and providing clients with quality engineering in a timely and efficient manner.
HLR and Lamac joining forces has provided unquestionable value to existing clients and expanded comprehensive service offerings to all locations. We pride ourselves on working closely with clients, developing long-term relationships, and on-time, within budget, and high-quality project delivery.
