Randall Road at IL Route 64

Challenge

The challenge was to perform all the survey necessary for the design and right-of-way acquisition for the highway improvement.

Solution

Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) performed the Phase I route survey of Randall Road from Dean Street to Oak Street, and on IL Route 64 from Campton Hills Drive through the Randall Road intersection.  HLR prepared the Plats of Highways and Parcel Plats for 36 parcels including right-of-way, permanent easements, and temporary easements.  The project required coordination between KDOT and IDOT as both departments had interests in the acquisition.  HLR also performed construction layout for Martam Construction, Inc.

Results

Successfully performed the route survey and right-of-way survey required for this improvement.  HLR prepared Plats-of-Highways, Parcel Plats, and legal descriptions for parcels acquired by KDOT and IDOT.
